What is Tile flooring?
Ceramic tile is made through the process of heating and cooling clay and minerals.
Porcelain tile is made from natural clay and created by heating refined clay to high temperatures creating a dense floor tile, which is good for both indoors and outdoors.
Travertine is limestone that is a byproduct of hot springs. The minerals in travertine are mixed during formation, giving each tile a unique pattern and character.

What is Wood flooring?
Solid wood flooring is a solid piece of wood from top to bottom. The thickness can vary, but is usually 3/4" to 5/16". A huge benefit of solid wood flooring is that it can be sanded down and refinished multiple times.
Engineered wood flooring is a real wood flooring that has been manufactured using multiple layers of different wood veneers. It is very stable because the grains of each layer run in a different direction, making the wood expand and contract less than a solid wood floor. Engineered wood flooring can be sanded down and refinished, but not as many times as a solid wood floor.

Benefits of Wood flooring:
- easy to clean and maintain because stains and dirt don't stick to it
- they don't fade easily
- don't hold allergens like carpet can
- they are tough, strong, dent and scratch resistant
- most can be sanded and refinish floors several times
- hardwood floors increase the value of your home and make it easier to sell
